A Brief Company History
Ross Fraser, the principal of Do IT Right has been involved in the computer industry since 1988.
He began his career servicing IBM XT computers (running DOS 2.11) when Windows only existed in the walls of buildings and local area networks were a geographically close group of associates who chatted amongst themselves.
The Internet wasn’t even a dream and Bill Gates thought that no one could possibly need more than 640 kilobytes of memory.
Since then Ross has continued to develop a very wide range of skills encompassing the service and repair of computers, the design and installation of networks, web page design and software programming.
Ross also spent two years in the 1990’s heading up the technical support department of a large software company providing telephone assistance to its clients. This has since helped Ross to resolve many issues ‘over the phone’; it has also given him the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms that his clients understand.
Ross spends much of his time designing & building local and wide area networks. These systems provide functional solutions for businesses in multi-office situations where access to live data is essential.
He has a background in electronics with a certificate from RMIT. He also holds networking certifications from Microsoft, Novell and 3COM.
Do IT Right commenced trading on the Gold Coast in September 2005 providing a range of technical services to small and medium businesses.
Do IT Right has managed a retention rate
of well in excess of 90% of its clients,
this is an excellent indication of the quality of service and
professionalism that is part of our philosophy.
