Email Tests

- This test will start your email program and send a message to our auto-reply server using your normal email program.

This link will open your email program and fill in the address and subject lines. Send the email as normal and expect to receive a reply within a couple of minutes. This test will alert you to any problems sending and receiving emails.

- This test does the same as the Send & Receive Test above, except our server will send a reply with 4 attachments that have apparent viruses.

Please note that the attachments (the EICAR test virus) have a string of data that ONLY resembles a virus and is used for testing anti-virus programs.

The attached files however are absolutely safe and contain NO ACTUAL VIRUSES.

• Your anti-virus software should detect these attachments as viruses and prevent you from saving or opening them.
• If your anti-virus program does not block access to ALL the attachments it isn't doing its job.
• If your anti-virus program does not block all attachments no harm will be done in this case. However, a real virus could well be an issue.
