Updating and Running Ad-Aware SE

Ad-Aware will detect and remove Malware (adware and spyware etc.) from your computer.

You should run this program at least once a week and remove any critical objects that it finds.

You should run this program (every time)  just before you use Internet Banking. Make it a habit.

First you must have ad-aware installed. If you don't have it you can get it here.

Run Ad-aware from the short cut on your desktop or menu.

Click on  'Check for updates now'

Click on   'Connect'  to see if any updates are currently available.

UPDATES AVAILABLE		NO UPDATES AVAILABLE
Click on  'OK'   to download the updated definitions file.		If you see the above screen there are no updates available. Click  'OK' to continue.
When the updates have finished downloading click  'Finish'

Click on   'Start'   to start scanning for adware / spyware components.

Make sure you select  'Perform full system scan'  and then click  'Next'  to continue.

When the scan has completed click  'Next'

Place a tick mark beside ALL objects found and then click  'Next'

Note: If many objects have been found you may  'right click'  anywhere in the scanning results window and choose  'Select All Objects'.  as shown below  and then click  'Next'

Click on  'OK'

Click on the  'X'  in the top right corner to close the program. Normally you are now finished.

If you are told that Ad-aware could not remove all objects and needs to reboot the computer and run again, shutdown the computer as requested and click on  'Start'  when the Ad-aware screen appears after the reboot.
